175 DT AC dynamo Pre16G or Post? Does it matter?
« on: May 02, 2020, 03:51:10 PM »
I have one of each, a Pre 16G and a Post 16G. Will either one work?
Also, what to you call the rubber boot/grommet on top? this one needs replaced.

They aren't interchangeable as is. The gear, the points, point cam and points mounting plate are all different. They can be switched between alternators, however, so you can use either basic core. The grommet isn't available as a spare part as far as I know, but those available at your local hardware or auto parts store can be used.
