Well, I'm a new member to the forums here. I have a BS 100 and a 175. I grew up on the farm with them both when I was very young, and now (slightly) grown up and have been in small engine industry for about 10 years, sharing my time in a snowmobile shop and a Triumph and American V-twin shop. I've got the bug to work on something of my own.
I want to start with the 100. My worries are that this bike won't be what I want for what I want to do. (And my size being 6'2" and 160lbs) I would like to make a trail oriented scrambler dirt bike out of it. Full strip down and custom build up. Possibly using the same front end, but willing to convert it to better. Also thinking about switching the swing arm to build a mono shock set up. Probably the use of the moto-gadget M-unit for the electrical system. I know I might be taking away from this bike what it really is, but this is never leaving my paws. It will be with me for a long time. I have a 04 Honda crf450r for those days that I want to hit up some serious mountain trails, or the sand dunes close to my home. This I want to be able to go and ride single track and go camping with, hunting as well. Over all kind of call it my day to day rider.

And for the 175 I have a goal to turn it into a road course racer tribute. Haven't put to much thought into it except to be able to take it to shows as a race replica ( and ride a couple track days) and maybe have a quick detatch LED lighting for a couple street runs.

If you guys have any input or can direct me the best you can, let me know! Thanks! I'll be surfing around!!,
Cody

First, welcome to the site and the group of BSers. There are many resources available on here. Manuals, parts, answers and lots of good humor. Please ask questions. We are all keen to help. All your ideas are doable and others her have done similar things, so surf and find what you need. ;D
