Hello, my name's Ian and I'm a new Bridgestone owner.

My Bridgestone 90 Mountaineer was bought on 12Nov1966 by a fellow in St Louis Missouri for US$100.00. On 08Jan2014 he sold it to The Australian Motorcycle Museum who imported it to Australia and they've now sold it to me. I have the old certificate of title from 1966. The bike seems to be in quite good "as used" condition.

This is my first old bike. I've had a lot of bikes and am also a member over at http://www.r3owners.net/

OK, time for question 1.
Can you tell the date of manufacture by the numbers on the bike? I have 12R045502

Ian,  12R was made June 1965.  Member disc-valve has posted a serial number ID guide.  Here is a link, page 2 has the info you're looking for.  Welcome to the site!  Steve
