Possible Scam?
« on: April 20, 2015, 10:17:49 AM »
For any members that may have seen this craigslist ad (if you haven't yet, you will now..  ;D ), I'm not sure if this person is just too lazy to take & post pics of the actual parts he has or is trying to pull off a scam.

I say this because the oil tank pictured is one I recently sold on ebay and just arrived in NY today. His other items are also from eBay auctions. I sent a message to the seller inquiring as to what was up and haven't heard anything back yet.

Be careful......

Update...

The oil tank pic has just been removed. The other items pictured are all from the same eBay seller who IS located in Cleveland, same as the craigslist ad.

My opinion has now changed from possible scam to probably legit.... just a little lazy.  ;D

there are definitely scammers out there. Last summer when my Ducati had been in my possession for 2 years, someone was listing it at half price with the pictures from ebay when I bought it.

there are definitely scammers out there.    ...snip...

You're absolutely right about that, that's why I posted this just in case. In the end, like I said in my second post, he's probably legit and he's put another ad in craigslist for the rest of the bike which I posted today in the classifieds.
