BS350 Owner in Perth Australia.
« on: April 14, 2015, 11:19:47 PM »
Hi Guys,

I guess I'm like the "long time listener, first time caller".  I have been lurking around this board for some time, but haven't really said much...

I'm probably a little younger than the average BS owner at 29, but love my vintage bikes esp two strokes.  Currently, I own a 78' Yamaha RD400E, 79' Yamaha RD400F racebike, BSA A65 thunderbolt and (the mrs bike) a 74' Bultaco Alpina 250.

On the BS front I have my 68' GTR350, 2x 66' 175DT scrambler and a '67 175DT. the 350 is 95% complete for a rider and the other three are in boxes (sleeping).

My plan with the 350 is to clean it up into a running condition and put some kms on it (and hopefully iron out all the bugs) before a total strip and resto.  the 175's are up to the mrs to sort out ::)

I don't know of any other BS owners on this side of Australia!

Attached is a pic of my two daughters (5 and 3) on the bike the day it arrived.

Ryan

All Sandgropers are a most welcome addition to Bridgestone enthusiasts on the other side of Oz. Are your bikes imports or locally delivered in the 1960s?
I'm sure this site will be of good use.

Cheers

Hi Ryan, just to let you know, according to the "members map", it shows at least one Bridgestone person in your general area. His site name is DPK. He hasn't posted anything, nor has he been active for about a year and a half so I'm not sure how you'd find him unless he checks back in here at some point.  Here's his profile with his map location...

My 350 is an import, which I beleive came from lookmc. The 175s are all Australian delivered.

I had a look on the member map and did notice the other bloke in west aus, but I have never seen another bs on the road here. I know that there is none in our local vintage motorbike club ( Indian harley club).
