SR-175 Inventory
« on: November 06, 2013, 11:20:52 AM »
Mornin SR-175 Owners,

Anyone interested in taking stock of what SR-175's are left, good, bad and ugly ?

I have made up this spread sheet mainly using Richards galley pages and the chat recently on another thread.

If anyone cares to add their frame & engine number to this thread I will add it to the spread sheet and create a pdf to share.

later ... ray

Hi Steve, Gene,

Ok, lets see how this goes and then we can expand it to other models ?... Sure what else are we doing !... haha

Need to add :
1- Gary Tomer - has two that we see on U-tube.
2- Phil Wheeler - Van Tech frame
3- Crazygreg - has one being restored from previous emails I noticed over the last year.

I am pretty sure we will not get them all as not everyone that has one will be using this site. However, it's  still worth trying.

Thanks Gene,

Attached an update on inventory. Have added a few extra notes, which might help people look at them if restoring one ?

I will dig my SR out of storage and send you the serial number.
I think this will be very interesting. Will the info be available
to the forum?
My SR has been in dry storage for almost 35 years and is my
next project. How scary is that?
Cheers,
Skinny

Hi Skinny,

Yes, anything we gather will be on the forum. We can work out how to have it stored on the site later. Lets see what we dig up !

While it's out a picrture or two would be nice.

Thanks .. ray

I  have frame tag number 16O26548 (headstock # TA1-26589), along with most of the chassis parts, but no engine.  I have SR engine number 072 as the spare for my roadracer (which may or may not be the original engine from bike 16026548). My roadracer currently has a modified DT engine in it. I also have complete engine 0548 and none of the rest of that bike.  There may be another set of SR crankcases around, if I find them, I'll post the number.

I just realized the complete engine #0548 matches the last digits of the spare frame.  Weird, because the frame came from Muncie, In, along with a bunch of loose parts, including an engine, in 1985, and the engine came from Illinois about 2 years ago.

I should have time late next week to get the numbers for your inventory. Maybe we should start an inventory for the SR-90 and SR-100.
Thanks, Hal
