Oil Injection Ports.....Which Way Is Up?????
« on: July 06, 2013, 11:22:12 AM »
Can someone let me know which one of these pictures would be the correct installation?  Need to know what side goes up.......the flat side, or the "cupped/dished" side?  Thanks.

Steve,
I don't think it matters but on all the engines i have worked on, when removing the oil lines the flat side down  to the engine casing.
That would be picture number 2.
Thanks.

Hi Steve,
Nice to see you posting. I am pretty sure your answer is correct. I have always seen them the way you described. I believe it makes a better seal on the bottom, helps stop leaks between the washer and casing. More surface area on that side if you know what I mean. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
