tool compartment too close to the oil tank
« on: May 19, 2020, 11:41:13 PM »
Is there an adjustment for the tool compartment? Mine is too close to the oil tank. When I kick start it the cover falls down and when I close the cover it scratches up the oil tank.

You have a tool box for a early bike, the one with oil tank under fuel tank,   The box you have requires  a side cover not oil tank,  You need a let model tool box, which is chrome with a twist off cover.

Well now that I know that this is not the correct part the next questions is: Does Richard have one in stock and how much is it?

It's worth checking with Richard, but at least the lids have been long gone unless he found some recently.  The lids are loose from the body, just snap/twist into place, and fall off easily.  I put a short wire cable tether on the one on my 200. Keep your eye on e-bay listings, they do show up occasionally.
