Please list the battery replacements you have found that work in your experience of restoring your Bridgestone Motorcycle.
Model - 50, 60, 90, 100, 175, 200, 350
I have been using YUASA12N5-4B in 175, 200, 350 models. They are similar to the original and are less expensive. The
only problem is they typical last 4 or 5 years.
Once the recommendations have been made they will be entered in the Bridgestone Tech Talk section of the site.
Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
Regards
Randy

For 175, 200 & 350s, I've also used 12N5.5-3B. They are the same size, but the vent hose is on the wrong end.
I've also used YT5AL AGM batteries. They are the same size, no vent tube of course. However, unless you have an electronic regulator, the charging system may dry them out and technically they can't be refilled.

Randy,
4-5 years life for a battery is pretty good on motorcycle, especially a 2S twin, they have a hard life !!. Subjected to a lot if vibration, there's not a lot of isolating foam in the BS battery compartment, maybe left uncharged over winter and other abuse.

I agree with the rough life. I take the batteries out for the winter and keep them charged.
What I am hoping for is advice on the batteries for the 50, 60, 90, and 100 models.
I have recently bought sealed 6 volt batteries for my smaller models. But wonder what everybody
else is using.
Thanks.

I've using Motobatt batteries in my bikes (6) for the last 3 years without a failure. So far, they have outlasted conventional lead-acid batteries and the cheaper sealed type batteries. The quality seems to be very good. The draw back is that they are more expensive. But, if they last twice as long its probably worth the extra. A Motobatt MB5U fits nicely in my GTR . It is about 2 years old now. Current cost is about
$50.00. It seems to be almost made for the bike.

I appreciate every ones responses.
I hope we get a few more relating to battery
recommendations in the 6 volt models.
Thanks to every one who has responded.

I am also using the Motobatt 12N5-4B on my GTO. Been on there 2years with no problems but a modern rectifier helps. Also gives an upgrade to 7amphr. Have added 6mm self adhesive foam at strategic points to prevent hard contact between battery and the batt box.

The following are batteries I have used in the 6 Volt Bridgestone 90/100;
YUASA 6N4A-4D and/or FB 6N2 2A-2. These are old style batteries with
battery acid and not sealed. Both fit in the battery box without modification.
Please post any others you have found that work.
Thank you.
