Title: GTR tool box
Post by: Skinny on July 06, 2017, 01:17:46 PM
So, as usual, I'm confused.
Maybe this has been addressed before, but I was unable to find anything.
My 1969 GTR has what I thought was a place for the tool pouch next to the battery.
I see two tool boxes for GTR's on eBay- one new old stock and one used. ( I bought the used one )
What years had a tool box or did they all have one?
Cheers,
Skinny

As you stated, the GTR's had a place for the tool bag that was next to the battery.

However, they never had a separate "tool box" like the GTO's had. I'm pretty sure the used tool box you bought is a GTO box.

moonpup,
Well, dang it - a fool and his money----
I knew you of all people would know.
Now I have a tool box for a GTO that I powder coated.

The good news is that it can still be mounted to the GTR frame and you'd have a little extra storage space for more spares like spark plugs, points or whatever you'd like to fit in there.  ;D

Thanks for the suggestion
I put it on just for fun
And took it right off- really does not belong- looks very clunky on the GTR
Cheers
