   Alan,
You're not the first to ask this.     It's on the top of the crankcase, just in front of the rear engine mounting bolt, to the right side. On a GTO, look under the front of the oil tank, you should see it. They are usually lightly stamped and can be difficult to read, should be NA1-0xxxx.

They only ever produced 9,782,  350 models. Your second one, with gold/chrome tank is one of only 1000 built Nov/Dec 1969 as a 1970 model for the US market.

Thank you
Both of mine are gold and chrome one has blue under the gold and the other has red under the gold
You can see it in the worn spots
I don't suppose you would have a spare stinger pipe any condition l have one missing
Thanks again
Alan

If no one else comes to your aid for a replacement stinger/baffle, you can have these for just the cost of shipping. (usually $22.50 to the UK)

I'm sure some talented person could separate the bad bits & combine the rest to make a good piece.

   Alan,
Sorry, don't have a spare stinger pipe.
That's interesting what you say about the gold being sprayed over blue and red. There was a recent post from Coxy in Aus who found his gold GTO tank was sprayed over a blue base. General opinion was that previous owner or dealer had repainted the tanks but I now wonder if this was done at the factory. If you strip the tank, try to assess if it was original paint. Are your Vin numbers correct for gold/chrome GTO, likely between 6800-7799.

Second is NA1-07216 engine no NA1-07357 red undercoat

Your numbers are within the expected range, that's good. We are trying to establish production numbers for the later model/colour variations.

Wish I could 'let you know'. After nearly fifity years we can never be sure that the tank is original to that bike. Red base could be an earlier GTR tank, resprayed gold. Why would a blue base coat be used, that's more difficult to explain, depends who painted the tank, factory, dealer, owner ? Yours is the second to turn up recently but it's likely consideration was given to producing a 350 in blue. There is no reliable evidence that any were produced. Could BS have been using up surplus paint as a base coat? who knows.

Alan, the numbers you've listed are engine and frame I.D's. Do you have the numbers from the little metal tag that's on the right side of the frame under the seat? That would the number used by Bridgestone to I.D. the bike as a completed unit.

The no on the metal tag is 21W07198
It looks as if it was origionaly 21K07198 and the W has been stamped over the K any thoughts

It appears someone at the factory goofed and had to re-stamp it correctly!  ;D

21W is the correct designation based on the 07198. I have 2 gold GTO's that are 21W, with the highest number being 21W07032. In addition, there is another 21W identified in the "Serial Number" guide as 21W07523 which is 300 + bikes after yours.
