Hello from Ohio
« on: January 31, 2012, 12:08:54 PM »
Hi all, I joined this site in 2010 but have only recently started exploring it. Among a small herd of other brands of bikes, I have 3 B'stones. I have 2 175 SS's and a 200 RS that I turned into a roadracer. From what I've seen, there is a tremendous amount of knowledge here so maybe I can repair some of the "improvements" I made to the roadracer back in the day. Thanks, Tim

Hello fellow Ohio'an. I joined last year to while searching for parts to fix up a friends 175dt.  I haven't really contributed alot to the site or discussions yet but have learned a truck load!! Read thru the new posts twice a day and always something interesting in here.

Hi, guys.

I am a former Ohioan now living in California.

I got my first Bridgestone in 1971. It was a 175 Hurricane Scrambler, and it was a good runner.
It had some aftermarket radial finned heads, and would go 80 MPH unless there was a headwind.
It was my first bike and I abused the poor thing without mercy. My nearest shop was Kennedy's
Pair O'Wheels in Bellefountaine, OH. Barney, the proprietor, could always get it going again.
Later I found a parts source at Cy's Garage in Circleville, OH (right behind Cy's house, in fact.)

After my 175 was destroyed by a car, I got my first 350, then moved to California. Now I have a
GTR and a GTO. After some experiments with speed tuning, I am mostly interested in longevity,
for the bikes and myself. Thanks for all the tips I see posted here, and I look forward to more.

I'm from Cleveland but have lived in San Diego since 1979. My brother had a Bridgestone 90 when we lived there and I got a SR175 to go racing in 2001.
