I'm only aware of the bolt, which as a factory tool is a bolt drilled down the middle with a small pointed pin (which is what I think they are calling a "bar") that you hold into the notch in the crank to position it. The suggestions above are a substitute for that. The factory tool may be available from Richard or CPC, but is not really needed if you use the pointed chain adjuster bolt or you can even grind a point on a standard bolt that fits the hole in the crankcase, it's just a little more difficult to find the notches in the crank. You can also use a dial indicator in the spark plug hole. The service manual specs tell you the distance BTC.
