Hi all
« on: June 14, 2016, 07:34:03 AM »
Hi from Australia, I've been lurking here on and off for quite a while, I've got the remains of a GTR that I've been procrastinating over for years.  The main hold up has been the badly distorted frame, but "Coxy" from this forum donated a spare frame for this project a few weeks ago.  Thanks Mate, it is much appreciated and was damned good to meet you too. Anyway here goes for another bank account haemorrhaging exercise, (I've just about finished a Norton Commando from a total wreck basket case and refreshed my old BSA Thunderbolt) .

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Graeme

Here's a picture of my BSA I took in 1972 when it was still fairly new.

The Norton, if you look through the frame where the oil tank & battery should be you can just see the GTR seat.

So, I am a BSA geek to go with my Bridgestone addiction. I had a 441 Victor in the early 70's. A 69 I think. Awesome bike. Sometimes hard to start, but once running, nowhere you couldn't go. (as long as the handle bars fit...;-)
I got my GTR in 1974, so long term motorcycle ownership is no stranger.
Thanks for the pics. Nice bikes and nice work!
