350 GTO on Ebay
« on: August 05, 2011, 06:31:06 PM »
Looks like a decent bike.  Too far for me.  Hard to believe he has never kicked it over?   Maybe I am misunderstanding him.  That is strange.

I guess he has never done a compression check on it.

Harry
You are right that will make a nice motorcycle for someone that's wants a GTO.
And there is no reserve!
Thanks.
Steve.

There are so many things wrong with this... He's never bothered to kick it over but he's pulled the cylinders to look at the chrome linings...... Which of course are fantastic!!!!

Has he put it back together?? Are there pictures of the bores when he had it apart? I'd like to see these because they are fantastic!!

At the end of the day it is a GTO with (once again) no title, probably pulled it out of a junk yard to flip it and make a quick buck.

Buyer beware....
I have a tilt wheel for more headroom!

You would think everyone would be commenting about this bike in the "classifieds" section............wasn't that the idea?  ;)

Member or non-member, I would hate to see anyone get something that they were not expecting.  Having no desire to kick an engine over is concerning.

If I was a betting man, I would say there is something going on inside that engine/trans.

Still a very valuable and desirable bike though.  Ebay can be scary.

I think moonpup is right about the formalities of maybe where this should have been placed.
I kinda still have trouble with where to stick these Craigslist/eBay ads.......I really consciously have to think about what I doing because I used the other avenue so much before.
C'est la vie......
At least the link to the ad isn't here, so I would assume the confidentiality thing for members is still in place.

i found it in others. there is some good stuff in there but have a look at those triumph t120's (six of them) and see if that bloke is dreaming .getting back to the gto if i had the funds i would buy it just for what it is. you would have to buy it as a total restoration project and if anything is good on it would be a bonus .buying anything off ebay is always a bit of a gamble  .

I think the title of this post "350 GTO on Ebay" pretty much does away with any confidentiality.  ;D
