Link to parts
« on: February 24, 2011, 08:06:22 PM »
Not quite sure where to stick this thread.
I'm a bit like Sergeant Shultz......."I know nothing!"
If I am in error, head me in the right direction.
Anyway here goes......looks like a good source if you need some specific parts.

reed,
I currently have a '75 RD 125 I'm trying to sort out.
It's going slowly......
Bought it in July with title and it is running.
But definitely not what it should be.
I have previously owned a '71 CB 750, a BMW R75 (touring in Europe), a TD3, and a ported '73 RD 350 (production raced circa 1974).

I'm a caregiver for my soon to be 91 year old father.
My time is not my own.
Payback is the name of the game for me right now.
I rather be in the garage wrenching and soiling my hands.
Its just difficult to do right now.

Reading and posting between caregiver POA duties and visits seems to be easier than the laying on of hands (on the machinery). :-)

One of these days.........

Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the heads up......good to know where the topic should be placed..... :)

But............I have to ask the question.......why was my link deleted???

It was about Bridgestone motorcycle parts.....just another source......but one that is certainly ABSOLUTELY NO THREAT to Richard's business.
He has the corner on 98% of this stuff, right?

Even though I assume Richard is paying the freight here.....is that reason to exclude other sources???
Are we being intentionally exclusive and exclusionary here in an administrative sort of way?
Are we barring the doors against all others???
I would hope this place is much more about openness and information than guarding the gate.

This is about Bridgestone motorcycles, and keeping them running, and offering relevant and pertinent information about them, right???
What's the problem?
We're not going to be open, engage in relevant discourse, and foster the memory of these vehicles which were cutting edge for their time, in a free manner?

Surely we can all be more adult than what I have just witnessed....
Agreed?

Regards to all,
Steve

Steve

I am a moderator of this site. I am the one who changed your original link.

I have sent you a PM about my actions.

Your link was not deleted, it was changed to a general ebay link, in which I have now changed it again to the last one you provided.

There are many people who offer parts on ebay its a great source and an asset to the BS world.  The link you gave in your last message promotes
all ebay sellers, .  We do thank you for your message about ebay.  In fact I will add ebay to the LINKS page. Check it out:

http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?action=links;cat=2

I am sorry you feel this site is " guarding the gate" as you stated.

See the LINKS section  we proudly promote all BS parts sources.  Hope you continue to use this site.

Part links and part sources are in the LINKS and also in the CLASSIFIED ADS sections, there are good sources listed there!
