New guy from WI,USA
« on: February 25, 2020, 11:52:32 AM »
Not really new guy but I hadn't posted for a couple years and the site would not recognize me. Owned 3 BS way back. The last was a 350 GTR when I lived in CA. I loved to ride it on the CA interstate. It eventually was stolen from me and I did not retain records of the serial number upon moving back to WI. I have posted that if anyone has purchased a 67or 68? 350 GTR with a brazed in fuel petcock and a cutout switch for the rectifier in CA it likely was mine.
New question is pretty basic. Who made the 2-cycle oil that Rockford (Bridgestone) motors put the name Bridgestone on? An empty can has recently come up for sale and my brain came up with the question.
By the way my Bridgestone dealer was Carmen Vaugn from Fort Atkinson,WI

This GTR just got auctioned off in the Netherlands and I remembered it had a different petcock brazed on to the tank. You can check it out here.....

Mine had comfort grips. It seems as though the fuel tank petcock was more common than I thought.
Thanks for the headsup effort.
Still desire to know the source company for Bridgestone 2-cycle oil.
