Anybody know where I can find new seatfoam for a BS90 mountaineer?

If you don't find anyone with a decent old seat, you'll probably have to form your own.  You can always contact an automotive upholstery shop, but my preference would be to make up a block of your own and cut it with an electric kitchen knife to shape.  You can use carpet foam pad, or better yet, go to Menards or Rural King or TSC and buy a few of the pads they're selling for hunters and campers. These are approximately 12" x 14" x 1" thick and sell for around $5.  They are roughly the right firmness for a seat and could be blocked up with 3M spray contact adhesive, then trimmed to shape.

Hi I have also made seatfoam the same way and it works great.  The only thing I would add to that would be that in addition to the kitchen electric carving knife to carve the foam, I also find using an air powered angle die grinder with a sanding roll lock disk attached to be a great way to make curved surfaces along the edges of the seat.

Seems like a great idea - had not tried that.

Would this foam also cut well with an electric hot wire? (using a dc transformer to control voltage)
We had my wife's scooter seat shaved for a lower seat height and the upholstery guy used the hot wire to do most of the cutting.
