Looking in the parts books, the part number for the 175-200 is different from that for the 350.

They can be interchanged, sort of. The 175 link is flat. The 350 has wider forks than the 175, but the same width hub, so the 350 brake link has an offset bend of about 1/8 inch.  You could bend a 175 part to fit the 350 or flatten a 350 part to work on a 175. In either case, you might crack the chrome plating, though, so you might want to get the correct part if possible.

thanks guys and   i will get a new one the reason i asked is before we moved i bought a nos one for the 175 which is here somewhere and i cant find the original .the one on the 350 is a bit tatty   so i thought i better ask before ripping the house and shed apart to find it cheers.
