Title: HELMETS.
Post by: Steve Reed on October 25, 2023, 08:14:33 AM
Helmets.
I thought this would be a good topic to talk about throughout the years i had numerous helmets.
my opinion is that the Arai helmet with out doubt the best fitting helmet and the visor worked well
in rain.
What yours!
Thank you.

I've worn HJC's for years, street and racing.  A couple years ago, I bought one of the new modular style, easier to use with sunglasses and I only ride on the street now (which is probably more dangerous than racing).  AHRMA wouldn't allow the modular style for racing. My old helmet had aged out, 10+ years old.

The HJC's fit me well, but they are probably noisier (wind noise, buffeting) than some other brands.

I only wrecked in one once, woke up in the ambulance several minutes later.  Stepping off a moving motorcycle at 30 MPH is not recommended. You can't run fast enough to stay upright!  Didn't have a concussion, only a broken collarbone.
