Reminds me of the "Bosozoku Bikes" in Japan.....

I'm glad that Bridgestone pre-dated this era, although the 71 grab bars may have been genetic seedlings!  ;D  :o  ;D

That's so tall (and ugly) that it's adding to the aerodynamic drag.

Whats next...slugs and spool hubs. No...wait..its the surfboard carrier that was advertised about '66 in "Cycle World" that mounted the board over the rider and passenger's head. Personally, I'm all over re-introducing the bolt on hardtail. Wait a couple of weeks and the Bike Exif crowd will be all over the exaggerated upholstered sissy bar fad.

I had a bicycle in the late 70's that resembled this. I think I'm going to watch Spirit of '76 tonight to get my 70's fix. If you haven't seen it - its a must watch, even if you aren't a movie guy (or gal).

I think its due to the fact that there wives or partners  are terrible pillion passengers  and they really need something to tie them to
