Sr175 exist
« on: May 22, 2011, 12:30:20 PM »
I just bought a complete SR175 and have the possibilty of a second one. One is completely disassembled and the other is race ready. That makes up everything I was needing. With one of these and the other parts I bought, I am complete.

That might be him although he is not all that mysterious. I think he's a member on this board. He has a complete and running SR175 and another one disassembled if I remember correct.

I am sure there are barns with these in them all over the place. Many of these guys don't know about this forum. He found me by someone I know telling him what I was doing. He says he didn't really ever want to sell them, but thought my project was worthy.

Got home late last night. Have on complete bike. He wants to hold off on the other one for now, it is scattered all over his shop and he hasn't found all the parts yet. He has over 50 Harley factory racers dating back to the 30's What a collection.

Steve. I am waiting on my cylinders back from Forward Motion and my carbs from lectron. Then I will take some of the parts from this bike and some from the other one I have and start assembly.  Still going to Maxton in Sept. I am also waiting on the guy I bought this one from to round up all the parts from the other one. Then I will buy it and restore one from the two. I will keep this frame anc componenets intach, will use some motor parts.
I am looking into opening a vintage bike business.
