So I picked up a 1969 BS90 this past weekend and it was truly a barn find story. It was like an episode of American Pickers. I arrived at this guys place in the middle of no where , dirt road to get there. He has maybe 4 sheds of varying sizes , maybe 20x40 and they are all jammed packed with primarily small engine stuff. In the middle of one of them sits the BS90. He has owned it for 40 years , still has the original papers. The only non original part is the front brake lever. Guy never stops talking the whole time, and in a nice way , just telling stories about his stuff. We go inside to get the papers and his wife actually sneaks up to me and thanks me for taking something away from the hundreds of pieces of stuff he has. The bike doesn't currently run but turns over really well as he did keep an eye on it over the years. Gears change freely etc. Certainly going to needs lots of TLC and as it my first project , I will need lots of help. But up for the challenge and fun of bringing this old bike back to life.
