New old guy
« on: June 26, 2009, 10:15:12 AM »
Hi..I'm a geezer but a LONG time ago I bought a brand new BS 90. Had the dual sprocket and extra links..was like $600 brand new. I owned it in Cooperstown NY and there were a group of us(about 15-20 ) that bought them all at the same time. Mid 60s...bunch of geeks actually. Anyhow...fast foward Mnay years. I 'm retired Air Force Msgt. aircraft mechanic. I own and operate a VW repair/resto shop in New Mexico. Have my A/P lic....have my private pilots lic. with about 1800 hrs. ttl. time. I've owned three airplanes and am currently considering buying another one . I collect MGs..have about seven including a 57 MGA coupe, a 77B roadster, a 69 MGC-GT we restored about two years ago and a few more in work. I also have a 75S model Porsche 911 we recently upgreaded with a new eng. out of Calif. We also have a couple of Mustangs, one is a 94 GT vert. with a 5.0 roller and auto(wifes toy) and I'm currently restoring a 65 Mustang coupe for her. . 289..she wants an auto...I want to drop in a 4 speed...we'll see. Plus she has a new Durango 4wd.(grandkid hauler) and we ahve a truck and a huge motorhome..I'm a caraholic. Yesterday I was offered a very nice driving BS100SP..Has a slightly dinged frt. fender and missing one decal on rt. side cover. Runs and looks near perfect.  Can be mine today if I want it. Any thoughts????

Welcome to the site.
I say every motorcycle guy should have at least one Bridgestone, if it's a fair price and can be kept out of the weather, why not?
