disassembling rear shock cushion

Tomorrow's project is to disassemble the rear shocks on the 90 Mountain.  It appears there is a 14mm nut under the bottom bolt bracket, between the bracket and the chrome cover.  Am I right in thinking that if I get a wrench (have to grind one thinner fit) on the nut, the bracket will unscrew and the whole think will come appart?  The Hondas I've worked on came appart from the top.  Can't tell you how nice it is to be able to ask a question and get thoughful responses before charging ahead and breaking something.  Thanks.

Disregard question as I found answer in a much earlier post.  I'll get the hang of using this forum eventually.  Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the link.  Got the shocks apart and learned a couple things.  Had to buy a junky 14mm wrench and grind it thinner to fit between the bolt bracket and the chrome cover.  Also, had to use a couple jam nuts to get the 14mm bolt/washer off the threaded shaft so I could get the plastic cover off.
