new GTR owner

Hello everyone,

Just picked up a pair of GTR's yesterday from an acquaintance who used to rent a space from Austin's Bridgestone and Hodaka dealer. He inherited from him and passed on to me one locked up and in rough shape parts bike and one still rough but restorable along with a few boxes of NOS parts, and the Dealers service, parts manuals, and service updates for what I guess is the entire line.

I'll post up some photos' in a bit.

I'm still taking inventory but there's clearly more than I need of somethings and probably a shortage of others. I'll be posting spares when I get it all sorted i'm limited in space so I intend to get it down to just the things I have to have an will maybe need and let the rest go.

Alright, another Texas member!  ;D

I'm down in Harlingen, Ridered is in Houston and skidshoe is up around College Station. There may be more, but they haven't "pinned" themselves on the Members Map yet.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome.

I do know there's a Steve here in town that rides a gold GTR. Haven't seen him to let him know I bought one.

Hi Snorklefork, congrats on the bikes.  Maybe you can get two good one's in the long run.  Be careful with the cylinders on the locked up one though.  Aluminum likes to crack as your forcing the piston down the barrel.

You won't have a problem distributing the nos parts, all of the members here need them.  It will help finance some of your resto depending on what you have.  NOS parts are harder to find than the bikes!  Good luck.
