Mopar5426,

Looks to me there might be a hint of some serious agricultural endeavors emanating from your location and attending adjacent acreage associated with the photo reference.
How's the weather in MN???
Any signs of a "belly up" in ag economics in your area???

We're facing almost total corn crop failure here in North Central Indiana.
At this point in time, the beans aren't lagging too far behind in giving up the ghost.
The most significant drought here since 1956.....

Having made my living in residential and commercial construction for 40+ years, I'd love to see more pics and text of your "worlshop" redo.
Details, SVP.

Sweltering in Hoosierland.......

Regards,
Steve

We are suffering the opposite in the U.K., crops are drowning, I honestly can't remember the last dry day we had going back to the beginning of May.

It's totally depressing and the wettest summer on record. But were told there is a good chance of some dry weather this weekend.

Nice RE5 resto! Anybody remember Yamaha's twin-rotor,662cc, RZ201 rotary prototype?, or it's GL 750-4, two-stroke,fuel-injected, water-cooled prototype??

It's rotary was a cleaner, less cluttered design than the RE-5, with no dis-respect to the RE-5 owner's!

Photos attached!

Yes the Yamaha twin rotor engine RZ201 was a better looker than the RE5 but as we all know never reached the production stage, it was also believed that the engine cases on the Tokyo Show model were vacant as it was still being developed for the intended production model, Yamaha quietly dropped development and nothing more was heard.

Honda and Kawasaki both had rotary prototypes but only Suzuki went ahead with a full production model believing it was the way forward, it almost bankrupt them.

Gene, a Hemi would be great. Maybe it would sling the weeds off the prop better. Fishing has been a little slow this year. We're guessing it's somehow related to the extremely long winter. And then a company spraying chemicals on Monday to help control the weeds hasn't helped either. Last night we (3 of us) got four largemouth on the deck. One 12", two 14" and one 17"
We just do catch and release on the bass.

1905 Emil J Paidar barber chair. My wife's grandfather came to the US from Hungary when he was just a kid. He ended up working at Lukens Steel and cutting hair on the side. Hair must have paid better as he became a full time barber. My father in law followed in his fathers footsteps and started in the shop as a kid. They remodeled in '67 and bought new chairs. The old one went into the basement and sat for 50 years. I found it about a year ago and spent the winter getting it back into working order. It now sits in my basement.

Right on! My grandfather was also a barber (and other pursuits). Brings back memories of the few times I was in his shop as a little kid...

dcr.... nice job on the barber chair!

Here's something else I did around the time I was restoring the roto-tiller. It's an old hand cranked wringer I found at an estate sale. The before pic is from the estate sale ad that I somehow happened to save.  :o
