modification of bs100sp gears to reduce the gap between 2nd and 3rd

  i am sure i have seen a bulliten or written litrature about a way to change gears in box to close up the gap ,i am raceing a bs100sp and find im loosing momentum when changing down to 2nd for a corner and then back to 3rd gap to big .any ideas anyone

Other than having 2 new gears machined, not much in the way of mechanical changes that I can think of.  I checked, even if the 50-60cc gears fit, the gap between 2nd and 3rd is the same. Even the 175 gears are only 3% different in ratio step from what you have. 

My suggestion: If possible, try lengthening your expansion chamber enough to get more torque in the RPM range you need it. That may be more beneficial than having power at the high end of your RPM range.  That may depend on the track you're running.
