DT175 bottom end rseal?
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:24:06 AM »
My 1967 DualTwin 175 ran reasonably well after I "resurrected" it after years of inactivity.  However, it always smoked excessively in spite of my switch to "smoke free" synthetic oil. The more I used the bike the harder it became to start and did not idle well. I suspect a lower end seal leak allowing trans oil into the case.  Anyone have any favorite businesses that they have used for  bottom end disassembling and reseal?  I understand this is not a DIY job, correct?  What is reasonable to pay?
Thanks
Dan
