Front Brake Cable Routing on 175 Scrambler
« on: March 10, 2019, 05:17:42 PM »
I'm having trouble figuring out the proper routing of the Front Brake cable on my new 1966 HS.

When I first bought the bike I knew that the front cable was not right - way to tight. I figured someone had installed a DT cable (#6181-8000) but it turns out that I have the longer HS cable (6181-8010). Even being the longer HS cable it is way to tight. I have it routed through the Handle bar clamp wire "s-hook" cable-holder, then down the left side of the steering stem to the fender cable-holder to the hub.

Any ideas?

Anyone used a third party Front Brake Cable?

Thanks
