175 Bridgestone Race Bike
« on: November 14, 2010, 04:10:08 PM »
I have just joined this forum so I am still learning my way around.
I race a 175 DT bored out to 195cc in the UK and occasionally on the Continent.  I am looking for some new drive side main bearings, centre bearings, centre seals, a set of new crank cases, a new crankshaft  and new standard clutch plates.  Can anyone help?
Thank you.
Best regards
Baron K

Baron: Happy to have you with us. Got any old race photos that you can post?

I am surprised you do not know Richard Clark, the provider of this site, he
most likely has all parts for your 175.  Clutch plates are real cheap too!  My last
set was only $20 I think.

Contact him at bsparts@aye.net

Or here is a link:  http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?topic=415.0

You need to send him part numbers of the items you want.

Hope this helps and welcome to the sight

Dear Jeff
Thank you for your suggestion re parts.  I will post some Photographs for you when I figure out how to transfer an image without filling up the entire screen which then prevents me from previewing and posting
Best regards

Dear Lance
Thanks for the information.  I race with the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club.  Web site www.crmc.co.uk
We have an up to 200cc class split into 2 championships, 4 strokes, mostly Honda singles and twins and 2 strokes comprising mostly 200 Suzuki's, Yamahas, and Bridgestones mixed in with occasional 125s and 50s.  We usually race with the 250cc European singles class mostly Ducati's to make up a full grid.  Great fun is had by all.  Best of luck if you decide to race your Bridgestone.
Best regards

Hi Baron,

I take it you know Vince Gunning, Robin Keating and Brian McDonough then? I race a 175 here in the US. Most of the stuff you're looking for is easily avail here with execption to the crank, cases and center seals. Check with Richard to see what he can supply you. The seller "swapmeetman" on ebay has plenty of crankshafts for sale but I'm not sure how many sets of cases he has. Are you able to run 200 cases? I would love to discuss bike particulars.

The inner plates or the friction plates?  I have new original Bridgestone friction plates for sale on ebay.  Nancy

Dear Paul
Thank's for your suggestions on the parts and I can't use 200 cases.  I know Vince, Robin, and Brian.  Vince is the expert on Bridgestones and tuning them so he is your man for advice.  I don't know anything about tuning I just listen to people who do and ride the bike.  If you have any specific questions I will do my best to answer them.
Best regards
Robin
