Hello from deepest Kent
« on: November 08, 2011, 12:32:06 PM »

Hi all, my name is Mick, and as my user name suggests I have an interest in GT750 Suzukis....for the past 35 years or so, but I've always liked unusual bikes and I have nearly as long a history with RE5 rotaries as well. There is also a CB450 Black Bomber and rarest (and weirdest) of the lot a DKW W2000 rotary with an engine that looks like a space heater.

One or two of these I've owned a long time and I feel really lucky to have the bikes I always wanted back in the day, but I have an unscratched itch.  I've had the hots for a red 350GTR for many years, but if RE5s teach you anything it is that you need to be careful what you buy and so far I have never taken the plunge.  A few years back I saw a beautiful 350 GTR just parked in Bromley High Street and I couldn't take my eyes off it, just lovely. I've never forgotten the impression that bike made on me, and it's time I found one.

I'm looking for a nice bike here in the UK; although I live way down south travelling is no problem (Liverpool and Cumbria for my two RE5s) so if anyone here has or knows of a nice red 350 GTR for sale I'd really appreciate an e mail.

In the meantime, I'm going to read everything and learn what I can from the experience on this forum....

Mick....kettle738.

Hi Steve, thanks for that, I certainly hope the right bike is out there, I've waited a very long time to start the hunt for a 350 GTR so I will wait as long as it takes, I'm sure the something will surface, hopefully fairly soon.

Best regards................Mick.
