What Else Have You Restored?
« on: July 01, 2012, 09:25:45 PM »
Thought I'd see what other things members have restored and I'll start it off with something a little out of the ordinary.  ;D

Back in 1998, my garage caught fire and burned up my next resto project, a 1970 Datsun 240Z. After getting everything rebuilt and the garage stocked up with new tools, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do another car or not, but those tools were just calling out to me.

One day on the way to the Post Office, I spotted a garage sale and decided to stop and check it out. I went home with $10 less in my wallet and this...... a 1966 Western Auto Wizard Roto-Tiller by Gilson Brothers!

Moonpup I agree!  A few years ago, while working on my daughter's old Citation, I suddenly realized that when it was finished, and it was running again, it would still be just an old Citation!

How about a pair of Suzukis. The little 50cc M!2 dates from 1966, and I learnt to ride on it back in 1969. It doesn't seem to be as fast these days - I'm sure it did nearly 80mph when I was 16!??!

The other one is a 1971 T125 Stinger, which I bought part restored about 10 years ago and finished off. I absolutely drooled over the T125 back in the day, but couldn't afford one on a student's allowance, so I had to stick with with my original BS90 DeLuxe. The Stinger looks gorgeous, makes ALL the right noises and is a real hoot to ride.

Nice lot of Suzuki's between Graham and Zig. I have a friend with a mint Stinger, they are a really cool little bike. Zig's RE looks like a typical Bridgestone restoration when found, without the H20 of course. Thanks, Mark.

if i can find my other memory card i will post some pics of the bikes but this clock is my great grand parents i suppose early 1900's this clock used to hang in the brighton baths which closed down at least 40 years before i was thought of there are no council or any other photos of the clock or the baths which is a real shame and i am not sure weather to restore it as it still works .
