Title: 175DT clutch removal
Post by: Sora on March 28, 2020, 10:48:24 AM
I was trying to take apart the clutch on my Bridgestone 175DT and ran into a problem. How do you remove the bolt holding down the clutch hub without the specialty tool?

Put the transmission in gear, 3rd or higher is best to reduce gear tooth stress, then hold the output sprocket with vice grips. Don't let the vise grips or whatever you hold the sprocket with put too much pressure on the case around the sprocket, it would be possible to crack it.
