SHE'S ALIVE

hi all today i kicked the gtr i bought off Kevin into life after a lot of mucking around with electrics a new set of carbs and points from Richard and some inside info from Kevin about kz 650 condensers she banged into life .FANTASTIC . i actually took her for a spin up and down the driveway FANTASTIC .she is blowing weed out of the right and leaking tran oil out of the case badly i think maybe  a crank seal has blown but i think a phone call to Richard will remedy this with a new gasket and seal kit .i am absolutely over the moon and thanks to everyone who has helped . i have recorded a   small video as soon as i work out how to do it i will post it .cheers everyone have a great day great week great year YEH HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!! Great news to hear you got it to fire up.
We're celebrating the 4th of July (our Independence Day) over here......and as always there's always lots of fireworks.

Good for you Coxy!  GTR's are fun and they sure do make a lot of noise. Plus if you get it running good they have a real rush at about 5000 rpm's.

I upload vids to Photobucket and then just link to that from here. I'm sure any photo hosting website can do the same thing.
I have a tilt wheel for more headroom!

thanks guys its a great feeling she is idling a little fast though and the clutch crunches grinds slaps and generally makes more noise than a st2 ducati  but works fine

The clutch on mine sounds like rocks going through a crusher, apparently completely normal. If you have the carb cover off of that side its even worse.
I have a tilt wheel for more headroom!
