The other 'BS'

       As promised, there is another bike that uses the initials BS  ??

    A big crowd had gathered round one machine at the VJMC meeting, couldn't see the bike, then through a gap I spotted the tank badge. Wow, got to get a photo of that.
 
   A space cleared and I pointed the camera.   Wait a minute, that's not a vintage bike, it's brand new, in fact it's unique.       Has this guy spent the past 20 years in a shed building himself a one off ??

   No,  it turns out they are being remanufactured in a factory at Toulouse in France using machinery used for Airbus. This is serial No. 002, the first one is the factory prototype !!  It is  owned by a chap called Eric Patterson, who told me he still holds a number of records at Bonneville, the bike was a present from his wife and for a cool $82,000 you can have one too. Wish I had a wife like that  .

                       I've just googled Brough Superior. See the MCN test article and a link which shows Eric being handed the keys to his new BS.   Definitely said he paid £63,000 (possibly with mods and extras) but the retail price will be £45,000 or about$58000 USD.  Cheap eh.
          Get yours while the pound is down against the dollar . The engine was specially developed for the bike, 1000cc, 4 valves per cylinder, twin overhead cams on each pot. A lot of titanium and CNC machined parts.
         Heard him pull away when he left, sounded odd at low RPM and was just downright noisy when he wound it up. Guess I'm just jealous. .  Interesting guy, said he did a 'Bert Munroe' at Bonneville, turning up in a van with just a box of tools, while the others had mobile workshops etc!!
