« on: November 19, 2011, 05:53:19 PM »
g day all even with the cracked header pipe it got the better of me i started her up knocked her into gear and took off down the drive way i was going to turn around before i got to the road but thought bugger it and kept going .i went through all the gears she ran like scalded cat what a blast .everything is running great apart from it blows a bit of weed out if the right pot everything is new and this has got me stumped .
maybe the nos seals may have gotten to brittle or the o rings but they all seemed fine when i put them in

Coxy, can you clarify what is happening?  Not quite sure what you mean by weed.  I assume something is blowing out the muffler?  What type of sound?

Yeah........ can you clarify what Sno Jet commented on?
"weed" has a connotation here in The States that most likely has nothing to do with your reference to that word.
Quite puzzling on this side of the Big Pond.
Simplify things for us dumb arse Yank types.
Then maybe we'll have a clue.....

Steve

weed- smoke  i have just filled up the petrol tank with 98 octane getting rid of the majority of pre mix i had in there she is now a nice fine smoke on both pipes  running great there are no abnormal noises and the clutch itself is relativity quiet maybe there was just a bit of left over oil  or wd40 in the valves or somthing.i am very happy. its been such long time since i have ridden a two stroke all the feelings of being a teenager came flooding back its a real hoot

That sounds like fun Coxy, I know what you mean when you get it running right.
Are you getting it up to 7000 rpm?
I was hoping to clean the deer and dirt off mine this weekend to see if it still ran after the accident but a garage door opened died Thursday - so that is first on the list.
At least my left hand is healing well enough to be useful with tools again  :)
