Well from what I can see in disc_valve's detailed production report statistics, we don't have to guess....we know.
Clearly it was BS200 RS / SS model, with a total of 7800 BS200s built.

I'm not an SR 100 or SR 175 expert but I thought that only a couple of hundred SR 100s were built for 2 years and just a small 1 year run for the SR 175.... something like 1 made for each dealer??

And what about the cool 50 cc factory racers that have a few threads on here, something like 5 built total. I guess those wouldn't be considered "production" bikes, would they.

Any Bridgestone today is rare  ;)
I have a tilt wheel for more headroom!

I agree with you, but what about Bridgestone made for the Japanese markets they would be a little different to the models
Sent to the USA or the UK and with out question the factory racers etc.
PS there would less Bridgestones made for the Japanese markets and they would make changes on there motorcycles
Just like Kawasaki they had different models just for the Japanese market that never made it to the USA or UK!
Thanks.
Steve.

To add to the info this from Graham Weekes UK

"With the closure of the Taiwan production line in the mid-seventies, the family line of Bridgestone motorcycles finally came to an end. The BS name is nowadays associated with tyres and bicycles, but a significant number of Bridgestone motorcycles still exists in the U.K., U.S.A., and Australia, and their owners are keen that the marque should not fade away and should be more than just a memory from years past. I agree with you,and also think that all the members on this Bridgestone site are helping to keep the the Bridgestone motorcycle name alive and it wont be long before we have a 1000 members plus all the other people looking in.
If its Bridgestone this is the site to be on and be a member.
Thanks.

Yes Steve
This site is very user friendly and very easy to navigate.  It is a great resource for technical information and advice. In addition I would recommend Richard Clark as an invaluable supplier for BS spares.  He gives great service.  I see that there are now 6 members pinned on the Member map from Australia and 3 members from the UK.  Maybe there are more out there than we know of - so I urge Members that have not yet pinned to think about doing so, especially from UK and Oz.

Hi, Folks.

Youre correct that the BS200 was built in the smallest numbers of all, but my figures don't split down the individual models. For instance, the BS175 total includes the BS175 Dual Twin, the BS175 Huricane Scrambler and the BS175 SR, and I have no way of telling how many of each individual model were made. The SR series models were probably built the smallest numbers - particularly the 90cc and 50cc versions. Yes, there was a fifty, marketed in Japan as the BS50 Scrambler, and there was at least one 90SR, briefly tested in one of the US magazines (CYCLE or CYCL WORLD) at the time.

In terms of absolute rarity, though, I agree that the 50cc twin Grand prix racers must take the prize.
