gday all
when I turn my headlight on the motor dies unless I give it a little rev then it runs fine also my neutral light is stuck on any suggestions cheers.

Re: Dying when turning headlight on: you have a bad connection at the battery or the battery is dead. The battery needs to provide enough voltage to fire the ignition until you get the revs up high enough for the alternator to keep up. The battery may have failed or your charging system may not be keeping it charged; however, since the charging system will run the bike when you bring the revs up, it sounds as if it is OK.  Most likely the battery is low on water.

Neutral light:  The switch is bad internally (it's down by the drive sprocket) or the wire is shorted to ground somewhere. The neutral switch works by grounding a wire from the bulb, so if the wire is shorted anywhere between the headlight and the switch, the light will stay on.

A new gel type battery transformed the starting and running of my GTR coxy, don't do cheap as I first did.

Agreed. I put a gel battery in mine a couple years ago, works well, and best of all, it loses charge very slowly while sitting unused. It can set for a few months (doesn't happen often, but...) and still has a good charge.  They're pretty reasonable from Bike Bandit, probably some others.

its going to be a battery kinda week I have to get one for the bonnie as well . I bought a gel battery for my old buell it was VERY expensive
