Bridgestone tires,
I would like new Bridgestone tires for my GTR why don't we get a order into Bridgestone to make us tires for are GTR and GTO
Motorcycles, if we give them a nice size order they might make a batch for us after all they made the motorcycles!!
Let me know if you want a set, and lets see what happened.

Count me in. Tires on my GTO are old and cracking. Would love to be able to buy original style Bridgestones made of modern rubber.

I don't think they would do it with the intention of making profit other than a publicity campaign but I would buy a set.

I'd be really surprised if a large corporation would make a limited run of tires for products they no longer sell. Consider that the molds probably cost in the neighborhood of $100,000 (maybe more) even for a limited run, and they'd need multiple molds to cover front, rear, 350, 175, etc. The advertising benefit would be limited due to the limited exposure of our bikes (a few thousand people/year), so I doubt they would subsidize the cost. It would be cool, though. Since most of us put limited mileage on our bikes, they could be made with racing compounds without worrying about excessive wear on the street. Then you could really impress those sport bike riders by dragging your knee through corners while passing them on the outside around a corner. ;D

Sorry to spoil the dream! We can always hope they do still have the molds.
Maybe someone could mold just the set of letters for Bridgestone, we could buy Heidenaus or whatever tires look right, grind off the manufacturer's name and glue on the Bridgestone name. Nobody ever reads the fine print anyway. :D

You might try Coker Tire. They are able to make repop antique car tires that aren't horribly expensive. Maybe they could do a copy of the old Bridgestone M/C tires. We might have to supply them with a sample. I have no idea on how they are able to do this.
