Title: progress on my BS hs 175 in U.K. winter!
Post by: roger sharman on March 01, 2018, 11:33:44 AM
Hi all, now making a bit of progress on my 175 HS project. It's in about a million pieces all over the FROZEN workshop floor. Frame and tinware are shot blasted, frame is sporting a powder coated paint job. Currently making a spares list. so examining everything closely for condition. I'm a bit frightened by re chroming costs and may have to do it in stages or is it possible to have the tank foil wrapped?
I'm not looking for concours finish, as I believe bikes were made for riding, but would like the old girl to look smart, without spending the kids inheritance. It's going to be a long job as caring for family members .with dementia has to come first. meanwhile I'll be out on my Honda 400/4 as soon as the ice melts and the sun shines again. Roger and out!

Hello Roger,
Good to see you making some progress on your project.
I still have various nos parts and used parts for the 175 if you're interested - it will save you all the bother of importing and paying customs.
I'm in Leicester.

Regards
Stuart
