This is the best picture I've seen of this bike and it's been cleaned up quite alot. Chrome bits look to be in pretty good shape, and it is virtually complete. I will be interested to follow this one Z. I'm hoping there are no lurkers as I like to call them (dirty rotten lurkers! or other stronger terms...;-)

Hey Bert, yes it has been cleaned up and looks a lot better but as we know photos hide a lot of problems and this photo does make it look really good but be assured it's not, this is the bike's best side too. Everything rubber or plastic has perished, casings are cracked, chrome is lifting, horn smashed, wiring is chopped and no correct ignition switch but I have one.

I did manage to get the front fender off the red GTR as it was better as part of the deal.

I'd like to share my restoration progress as before in the gallery but I'm having problems uploading 5MB files, nothing over 48k keeps popping up, surely that can't be right?

There was a thread a while ago about site performance. One of the things that was done to improve was to limit the size of posted photos, but 48K does not sound right to me either. Moonpup was also in the middle of that...
Moonpup, any ideas?...

No I think it's going to be flamboyant red again, that's the correct colour under the yellow so if I'm to show it then it has to be right. :( Would love to be different though. :-[

Too bad the Bridgestone designers didn't offer more colors on the early bikes. What year is this one, Z?
I personally think the Gold Steve S. did was a very good fit for the GTR.

Sorry Bert only just seen your post.

Got a photo of Steve's gold GTR, it's gorgeous.

My serial no is 21V04423, what does that make it 67 or 68? Can't find the dating post.
