TMX Fork Springs
« on: February 28, 2013, 10:37:22 AM »
My fork gaiters were destoryed so I cut them off and found there are coil springs over the forks these would look super cool exposed but would rust out pretty quick. Does any one have any ideas how to paint them or coat them so they wont rust that will hold up to the flex of compressing and releasing the spring. This bike will be a road bike only so im not worried about dirt and rocks be propelled into them.

vintagebikes,
Why don't you power coat the springs the same color as your tank.
Or just do them black etc.
Thanks.
Steve.

vintagebikes,
You can power coat or paint and it wont crack, or you could have the springs powder coat in a chrome finish etc!!
Thanks.
Steve.
