Rollin

I finally put some new tires and tubes on order with Dennis Kirk.
Thanks to "ridered" for the specific brand and model info!
It's going to be nice to remove those old cheng-shins that just never looked right on the GTR.
And to make the coming spring more interesting, my wife decided to add to the stable of bikes after she got a Yamaha Vino a few years ago. We brought home a very nice used 2002 Yamaha 250 Ninja (lime green) for her to learn to ride on. We should have some fun weekend trips ahead of us.
The only downside is that as long as I'm on the GTR she will expect me to stay behind her so she doesn't smell the 2 stroke oil being burned. She might have to learn to hold her breath when leaving a stop sign.
 ;D
P.S. That new green special edition Ninja ZX14 sure looked sharp on the dealer floor, but don't think I'm ready for that price tag yet.

Are you sure that Ninja is a Yamaha???
Maybe a Kawasaki???
The lime green color should be a dead giveaway.
Better check what the title says....

Yes ztnoo, I guess it would be Kawasaki that makes Ninja.
I can usually guess which model Honda made, but not so good amongst Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha.

What are the specs/type of the tires that you are putting on your 350?  I must have missed the discussion.  I am very skeptical about putting more miles or going much faster than I would want to get off on the original rubber on my '72.

Thanks

Charlie
The tires are Avon road masters MKII  they are a great tire for motor cycles like Bridgestone etc.
I have them on my GTR and on Richard GTR!
Thanks.
Steve.

I'll add the info here, as 'Ridered' gave the info Reed mentioned above in his nice discussion on his restoration and what to watch for when looking at Bridgestones.
If you go to Dennis Kirk's website, you can search for these part numbers.
Front tire: 641000
Rear tire: 642161
For the tubes, I chose 54143 made by IRC, plus some new rim strips.
I ordered my parts Monday night from D.K. and received them today (Thursday) via UPS ground.
They look great and have a manufacture date from late summer 2010

Charlie, no F4 time for me :'(
The Navy only had a couple remaining for drones by the time I joined, and the Air Force had a few as Wild Weasels.
I plan to post some close-up tread shots of the new tires this weekend.

I like the Avon tires but Bridgestone make tires but not for there own motorcycle.
It would not take much to start making tires again for the GTR and the GTO.
Thanks.
Steve.
PS i hope someone from Bridgestone is reading this post etc.
