ENGINE ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT.

(1/1)

reed:
Engine assembly lubricant from Polaris great for small end bearings pins crankshaft bearings gears etc.
When you are putting your Bridgestone engine together!!
Thanks.
Steve.

I have always used the same 2 stroke injector oil that I plan to run the bike with for the fuel side of the engine (gear lube on the transmission side). Thoughts on asm lube vs injector oil would be interesting as I have an engine assembly job coming up...thanks...

Bert,
On the subject of engine assembly lubricant i used it on a Suzuki two stroke engine that had locked up so i rebuild the crankshaft
New bearings and seals, so i coated the big end bearing and small end bearing with EAL and the main bearings, lubed the bearings and gears in the gearbox i did put gear oil in,  its the smoothest running engine it will work with two stroke oil, all the years in the motor cycle industry i would coat pistons and rings with the oil i was using in the oil tank, lube gears and bearings in the gearbox with gearbox oil.
It will work on a Bridgestone engine but all its only for the break-in of the engine etc.
Thanks.
Steve.

Thanks Steve. Just want to use the best for the new rebuild (hopefully my last for this bike).
