Pit Replica Seat Cover for 350s
« on: April 12, 2023, 12:15:13 PM »
Need a new sear cover for 1967 350GTR. Pit Replica covers for our 350s say they are for model years beginning in 1969. Anyone know if they fit 67’s or if there are fitment differences in early 350’s? Thanks.

The PitReplica 350 covers fit all years that the GTR and GTO's were manufactured.  What you want the pay attention to is the font and size of the Bridgestone logo on the sides of the seat. You might want to read  this...

Thanks, Moonpup, just the info I was looking for. I tried contacting Pit Replica through their EBay site but have had no response after a few weeks.

I have the new Pit Replica seat cover on and it looks good. Quality and fit seem fine.

Now I’m trying to figure out how to install the new metal trim buttons that came with the seat cover. I suppose they are just cheap, but locating the holes in the seat pan where they go is tricky, and the inner stud and outer button stem don’t tighten up. Anyone figured this out or have ideas?

Never mind the question about Pit Replica buttons. I cleaned up the original ones and put some metallic paint on them. They look good. Again, I’d say the Pit Replica seat cover is good quality. Double stitched where needed, and the cover itself is nicely padded where it’s supposed to be. All I can say for the supplied buttons is they are shiny. It comes with a seat passenger strap. It’s good material like the cover but it doesn’t have the grommet at the ends where it is attached to the seat pan and secured with bolt, lock washer and nut. I put my original strap back on. Lastly, I was amazed at the really good condition of the original foam on the seat pan. At 56-years-old its held up remarkably well. I’m so lucky to have this ‘67 model that’s all original and and in such good shape.
