seperating clutch halves
« on: May 26, 2022, 08:17:56 AM »
i have taken the right side of the engine to pieces to look at the kickstart ratchet (worn spring) i ,after removing the plates  i took the clutch basket off with the casing however when i have come to replace it, i realise i need to seperate the two halves to line the dots up, ive took the part off that needs a cut down socket but according to the manual i need another special tool so i can see the dot, is there an easier way to do this?

seems a bit strange to be answering my own question, but like most things this has been done before! if anyone needs an answer to this look under "clutch housing removal" it explains everything (7 years ago!) thanks Guys!
