Engine covers painted?
« on: May 24, 2020, 10:06:18 AM »
Can any of the forum members tell me if the engine covers (not the polished ones) and the crankcases are painted silver or clear aluminum?
Thanks, Ernie

To the best of my knowledge on the 350, the center engine cases were straight out of the die cast molds, other than flash removal machine work, and cleaning.  No paint of any kind.  The left and right side inner covers were painted silver, and the left and right outer covers were polished aluminum.  Aluminum paint for old Honda engine cases is a close match from what I've seen to the silver Bridgestone used.
