Looking for recommendations for a good zinc plater for various nuts, bolts, brackets, etc., in the Midwest region. Thanks!

Hi,

I get my zinc done thru Shelbyville plating. They are listed on this site. Give them a call (317) 398-7040
Thanks Mike  Anderson

Buy your own setup from Caswell Plating. You will not regret it.

How how about a link, instead of a random, vague, largely unknown reference???
We're all very open here and want to learn, so if you know something we don't, please reference/link directly.
It would be much appreciated by all with interest in this topic.

Regards,
Steve

While I agree that a link is always appreciated, I don't think "Caswell Plating" is any where near being a random or vague reference. It's pretty direct as a matter of fact!

I just copied and pasted it to google and voila....it was the first listing on my search.

Maybe he's just a busy person and doesn't have the time to spoon feed everyone?  :o

If anyone who posts here with a recommendation for a vendor, and doesn't have either the time, make the effort, or have knowledge about how to post a link.........rather than just talk (ramble) about something in vague generalities most of us will have absolutely no clue about, then maybe that reference isn't worth the time of day.
I don't think that's an unreasonable request or expectation with most readers here.
It ain't (isn't) hard to do..............

Fiction, let us know how it goes.  I don't know much about it myself.  I would love to know the do's and do not's before I tried.

If you're at all interested in doing your own zinc, don't hesitate to jump in and try it.  It's one of the easier plating processes to work with.  A really big plus is that if you don't like the result, you just immerse the part in dilute hydrochloric acid and it comes right off, down to bare steel again, ready to start over.

Sort of like magic to be able to take a crusty old part and with a bit of work have it come out shiny and new again!

If you run into any trouble or have questions just ask.

Take it as a compliment that I reckoned you were savvy enough to search the company name. Some buggers are too bloody lazy to do even that!
Now get to work and tell me what's wrong with my 350, It's in 350 talk under sick.

Here's a link for ya.
I built this to deal with rusty tanks, which have really become a pain in the arse these days.

Despite the best efforts of the current Federal Administration......capitalism, at least at the most basic communicative level.....individual to individual, appears to be still alive and kicking.
Imagine the Federal Government involved in vintage bike restoration deals....
Anyone care to or want to deal with that???

Get together in some way and make your deal happen!
America will be better for your efforts.

Steve from Hoosierland (Mitch Daniels Territory).
