My poor 175 has not been run in 30 years. It appears to in pretty good shape in many respects but the obvious problem I have is the throttle cable assembly does not want to move when I turn the handle bar throttle grip. I don't know if the grip is the problem or if the slide is stuck in the carburetor or maybe the cable in between. Anyone have ideas as to the best methods to lubricate these components? I know the manual says to lubricate the cables frequently but I am not sure how that is accomplished. I did squirt some WD-40 into the 1 into 2 cable housing and I could squirt some 'carburetor slide and linkage cleaner' into the carburetor. Not sure about the grip, I hate to take it off if I don't need to. Thanks!
